Common problems
The things people write in about most, and what fixes them.
Instagram sign-in fails or the page keeps reloading
You sign in on Instagram’s own page inside the app, so Instagram itself handles the login. If it errors, close the sheet and try again — and finish any two-factor step before the page redirects. If Instagram is asking you to confirm it is you, do that in the Instagram app first, then come back.
It says the session was lost and asks me to reconnect
Instagram expires the session token from time to time, and changing your password ends it immediately. Tap Reconnect account and sign in again — your existing snapshots and history are kept.
The first scan is taking a long time
The first scan reads your full followers and following lists to build the baseline, which can take a minute or two on a large account. Every refresh after that only looks for what changed, so it is much quicker. Keep the app open while it runs.
I do not see any unfollowers yet
FollowerScan needs two scans to tell you what changed: the first sets the baseline and the second is compared against it. Refresh once more after some time has passed and the movement lists will start filling in.
The counts do not match what Instagram shows
Instagram’s own follower count updates on its own schedule and often lags behind the list it hands out. FollowerScan reports what was in that list at the moment of the scan. Refresh again later and the two usually line up.
I subscribed to Pro but the lists are still locked
Open the Pro tab and tap Restore purchase. Check that you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with — a subscription belongs to the store account, not to your Instagram account.
How do I cancel Pro?
Subscriptions are billed by the store, so you cancel them there: on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and on Android in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal — Pro stays active until the period you already paid for ends.
How do I delete everything the app stored?
Settings → Delete my FollowerScan data. That removes every list, snapshot and session token held on your device. It does not affect your Instagram account in any way.
